Internet safety tips for parents and kids

Just like in the old days, following common sense tips and rules go a long way in protecting your kids from the dangers on the internet.

1. Never give personal information to anyone online, no matter how convincing they may sound. This includes your name, age, address, phone number, etc.

2. Maintain an open dialog with your child. Get to know what yours kids do when they are online and who they talk to.

3. Keep your kid's computers in the common space in your home, such as living room or family room.

4. Don't use any screen name or email address that could reveal your personal infomation.
